PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He started his career with a Power Four program and now returns one at Pitt. South Alabama small forward Barry Dunning, Junior commits to Pitt as first reported by On3sports.
Dunning, Junior had a breakout season averaging 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game as a First-Team All-Sun Belt player in 2024-25. He had six double-doubles and 46 points at Texas State last season. The 6'6", 195-pound senior-to-be had a 17-point game against Jamie Dixon and TCU and five points and seven rebounds against Ole Miss. He should have two more years of eligibility.
In high school, Dunning was a two-time Alabama Player of the Year and a four-star recruit. Alabama, Auburn, Memphis and Georgia Tech were among the schools to offer out of high school. Dunning has also launched a non-profit that focuses on the mental health of athletes.
