Crosby assist gives him 1,600 career points

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Another big number for Sidney Crosby as he is now one of nine NHL players to ever score 1,600 points in his career.

Crosby did it with an assist on the Pens first goal Tuesday night against Buffalo scored by Bryan Rust midway through the first period. The 37-year-old remains in 10th place on the all-time NHL points list, 41 from Joe Sakic.

He is 42 assists from jumping into the top-10 in NHL history and is eight goals from 600 in his career.
