
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pens training camp begins in days with the first game nearly a month away as the team announced it’s promotional schedule for the coming season. It features bobbleheads.
The big three will all have their bobblehead nights starting with Sidney Crosby on January 6 against Buffalo, Evgeni Malkin on January 27 against Montreal and also against Montreal, fitting because it’s his hometown, Kris Letang on February 22.
A few of the traditional giveaways return-Pens will give away a trapper hat during the Hockey Fights Cancer Game on November 16 against New Jersey. There is a patterned shirt giveaway on March 28 against Columbus and an Iceburgh plush handed out when the Pens host Tampa Bay on April 6. The team will also have several nights with causes including fighting cancer with military appreciation (November 11), mental health awareness (January 11), Black hockey history game (February 6) and the Pride game on March 26.
The home opener is October 10 against Chicago with a light up LED bracelet given to all fans.
