PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – With the Pens for only a season and playing 50 games with a pair of goals and four assists with 53 penalty minutes and averaging 16:46 of playing time, forward Connor Clifton goes back to the Bruins.
The 30-year-old will get two years, $4.5 million as first reported by Renaud Lavoie. He’s a right-hand shot who played in three of the six playoff games last year. Clifton was acquired in a trade with the Sabres in the final season of his three-year, $9.99 million contract.
The 6’, 196-pound Clifton was originally a fifth-round pick by Phoenix in 2013 playing with Boston and Buffalo before the Pens.
