Judging by their morning practice, it looks like Evgeni Malkin will return to the Penguins lineup in time for Game Three Thursday night, but to the Penguins really need him.
Of course having a superstar like Geno in your lineup is always a positive, but compared to his teammates how valuable is he to the Penguins right now?
93.7 The Fan's Jeff Hathhorn tells The Fan Morning Show, ""If you look at Evgeni Malkin right now, not injured, I think he's the fifth best player on the Penguins, behind Crosby, Guentzel, Dumoulin, and Letang."
Hathhorn isn't saying that Malkin can't make a difference, but doesn't believe he is more important than those players.
He believes that Malkin will go back into the top power play and will replace Jared McCann.
