After a week and a day after the announcement he had suffered a second stroke, Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is back at practice.
Letang was seen in a full contact jersey skating with his teammates on Thursday morning.
When the news of Letang's condition was announced by Penguins General Manager Ron Hextall, he said the stroke was not considered career-threatening.
Letang has missed four games since the stroke, the team is 3-1 during that time.
It isn't the first stroke that Letang has suffered. In 2014, he missed two months after a stroke.
It was revealed during that time that he had a "very small hole in the wall of his heart."
"Although the small defect in the wall is apparent in all individuals, it typically closes on its own in most people," the Penguins said in a release.
Letang has one goal and 12 points through 21 games this season. He has the most ice time on the team with 23:54.
Letang was joined by some of his teammates on Wednesday, visiting with some of the young patients at Children's Hospital.
