The Penguins have re-signed big forward Radim Zohorna to a two-year contract.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Zohorna will get $750,000 annually over those two years.

His first year is a two-way deal and his 2022-23 year will be one-way.

"Radim impressed us last season with his ability to transition to the smaller ice surface quickly and adapt his game," said Penguins general manager Ron Hextall. "He is a power forward with a lot of potential and we are excited to watch him continue to grow as a player."

The 25-year-old played his first year in North American in the Penguins organization after playing the previous seven in Czech Republic's top league.

After playing in 12 games in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with three goals and eight assists, Zohorna played in his first NHL game on March 25 scoring on his first shot against the Buffalo Sabres.

In eight games for the Penguins last season, Zohorna had two goals and two assists.

The Penguins are considered one of the smaller teams in the NHL, so adding Zohorna does give the Penguins a little bit of size.
