The Penguins have added another forward in free agency.
On Wednesday, General Manager Ron Hextall announced that Michael Chaput has signed a one-year deal that will pay him $750,000 at the NHL level.
Chaput spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes, playing on the main roster and was also on the team's taxi squad.
In 13 games for the Coyotes, Chaput was a -7 with no points.
In his eight seasons in the NHL with Columbus, Vancouver, Montreal and Arizona, Chaput has six goals, 16 assists for 22 points in 182 games.
Chaput was drafted in the third round, 89th overall, in the 2010 NHL Draft.
