
According to multiple reports, the Penguins will once again be in the outdoor Winter Classic.

First reported by ESPN’s Kevin Weeks, the Penguins will the Boston Bruins opponent for the 2023 Winter Classic at Fenway Park on January 2.
Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox are owned by the Fenway Sports Group, the same organization that bought the Penguins last year.
The Penguins placed in the league’s first Winter Classic in 2008 against the Sabres in Buffalo. They won 2-1 in a shootout.
The Penguins then hosted the Winter Classic at Heinz Field in 2011, losing to the Washington Capitals 3-1.
They then played in the 2014 Stadium Series, losing to the Chicago Blackhawks 5-1, 2017 Stadium Series beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 at Heinz Field, and lost to the Flyers in 2019 at Lincoln Financial Field 4-3.
There have been rumors swirling over the past few months that the Penguins would be the team to face the Bruins at Fenway.
The Penguins were supposedly going to play the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2021 outdoor game, but those plans were cancelled by the pandemic.
The Bruins last played at Fenway during the 2010 Winter Classic beating the Flyers 2-1.
