Several key players among 6 Pens put on COVID list

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Pens aren’t scheduled to now play again until Friday at Ottawa per NHL cancellations due to COVID-19. That is probably a good thing as a number of players went on the coronavirus list today.

The following Pens players today added to the NHL’s COVID-19 Protocol List:
·     Teddy Blueger-key penalty killer, 5th on the team in goals
·     Tristan Jarry-2nd in the NHL in goals against average, 3rd in NHL in wins
·     John Marino-another key penalty killer, defenseman is 4th on team in assists
·     Mike Matheson-puck moving defenseman, 5th on team in assists
·     Evan Rodrigues-forward 2nd on team in goals and assists
·     Dominik Simon-bottom 6 forward with 5 points in 24 games

Team’s leading scorer Jake Guentzel is returning from injury and won’t practice Monday due to illness which is not COVID-19.
