
CRANBERRY TWP., PA (93.7 The Fan) – The third trade on deadline day is another forward on an expiring contract, Cody Glass is moved to New Jersey along with forward Jonathan Gruden. So two of the first three moves were within the Metropolitan Division.
The return is a 2027 third-round pick and fowards Chase Stillman and Max Graham.
The 25-year-old Glass was acquired from Nashville last year and is on the final season of a two-year, $5 million contract. In 51 games, glass had four goals and 11 assists. He had a career high 35 points (14 goals) in 72 games with Nashville in 2022-23. The 6’3”, right-handed shot was the sixth overall pick by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017.
Stillman is a 21-year-old right winger who scored three goals with six assists and 26 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Utica Comets of the AHL. He was the Devils first-round pick (29th overall) in 2021 and has yet to play in the NHL.
Graham is a 20-year-old lefty shot and a fifth-round pick by New Jersey in 2024. He is 6'3", 203 pounds with 13 goals and 22 assists in 34 games in the Western Hockey League this season with 79 penalty minutes.
Pens now have eight, third-round picks in the next three drafts.
