PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It was déjà vu with Joey Porter, Junior on the South Side on Wednesday. He was at Steelers practice and he was limited, although it’s listed as for conditioning not the back injury. Porter, Junior wasn’t the only player on the injury report in the first work for Cincinnati.
Porter, Junior left practice last Thursday with an issue with his back. He didn’t play Sunday because of his back. According to the Steelers, Porter, Junior has been cleared of his back injury, but Wednesday he was again only able to do some of the drills.
Cam Heyward asked if he gets a sense that Porter, Junior will play against the explosive Bengals offense.
“You got more of a sense about it than me,” Heyward said. “I don’t know anything. Whoever is out there, we just got to be ready to play.”
Safety Jalen Ramsey did not practice for rest. Corner Jamel Dean did not practice with an ankle injury. Linebacker Cole Holcomb missed due to a personal reason.
Running back Rico Dowdle suffered a toe injury in the game in New England and missed practice. Tailback Jaylen Warren was limited due to a shoulder injury, which is the first time he’s missed work.
After missing the game on Sunday, receiver Michael Pittman, Junior was limited as he works back from a foot injury.
