PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Ji-Hwan Bae hits a walk-off home run as the Pirates recover from an error and giving up two runs in the top of the ninth to win 7-4 over the World Champion Astros Tuesday night.

The rookie jumped on a 88 mile-an-hour change-up from Ryan Pressly with one out in the final at bat. Rodolfo Castro started off the ninth with a single, then an Andrew McCutchen one-out, pinch-hit single before Bae won the game.

It was the Bucs lead-off man’s only hit of the game. Ji Man Choi, Ke’Bryan Hayes and Castro each had a pair of hits. Jack Suwinski hit a two-run homer for the Pirates first two runs.

Mitch Keller went six innings, six hits (two solo home runs), two walks and seven strikeouts. Duane Underwood and Colin Holderman with scoreless innings of relief. David Bednar blew his first gave giving up a pair of runs, one unearned in the ninth. Bednar ended up getting the victory.

Pirates improve to 7-4 and finish the series with Houston Wednesday afternoon with Rich Hill closing the homestand he started against right-hander Jose Urquidy. First pitch at 12:35 on 100.1 FM/AM 1020 NewsRadio KDKA with the North Shore Tavern Pregame show at 11:30a.
