Pirates Director of Sports Medicine Todd Tomczak offered some clarity of why Bryan Reynolds is not in Wednesday's line-up vs. the Reds which seemed odd since Reynolds is 4-for-8 with 2 home runs against today's Cincinnati starter, Sonny Gray.
Tomczyk says it's a manager's decision; that Reynolds is resting the "lower body soreness" that had cropped up a few days ago, in part because it's a day game following a night game. Reynolds is available to come off the bench.
Otherwise, here is Tomczyk's weekly update.
