PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) With the 2022 MLB Draft behind us, it's time for teams across the league to see updates to their prospect pools.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have been boasting about their prospect pool a lot in recent memory and the high expectations have gotten higher.
Their most recent first round pick, fourth overall selection Termarr Johnson already sits as the Pirates' No. 2 prospect.
The only prospect ahead of Johnson is catcher Henry Davis who was last season No. 1 overall pick.
Johnson and Davis are given high hopes in comparison to their peers as well; Johnson is ranked as the 30th top prospect in the MLB and Davis ranks 20th.
Three more Pirates prospects landed in the MLB's top 100; pitcher Quinn Priester reached 47th, infielder Liover Peguero hit 65th, and infielder Nick Gonzales slides in at 99th.
