With the 2023 MLB draft now accounted for, a new list has the Pirates with the minor league system in the Major Leagues.

Fangraphs has the Pirates first, followed by the Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox round out the top five.

Pittsburgh has five players in the top 100.

First overall draft pick, pitcher Paul Skenes has already rocketed up as the Pirates top prospect.

He is 7th overall on the list and Fangraphs expects him to debut in 2024.

Baltimore Orioles shortstop Jackson Holliday is first overall. Skenes’ LSU teammate Dylan Crews is ranked 5th overall. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals.

Other top Pirates prospects include catcher Endy Rodriguez, who has already with the Pirates. He is ranked 11th overall.

Catcher Henry Davis, who has spent most of his time in the big leagues in right field, is 25th overall.

Davis is followed closely infielder Termarr Johnson at 28th overall. Johnson is currently at Low-A Bradenton.

Another player currently with Pittsburgh rounds out the top five.

Pitcher Quinn Priester is 81st overall. He picked up his first Major League win earlier this week against the San Diego Padres.

With three of the five top prospects for the Pirates already at the Major League level, the prospect list going into 2024 is going to look different.
