Pittsburgh 'potential landing spot' for Raysa infielder Yandy Diaz

According to one MLB insider, the Pirates are one of the teams that interested in landing Tampa Bay Rays first baseman/designated hitter Yandy Diaz.

MLB.com and MLB Network’s Mark Feinsand says the Astros and Mariners are also “potential landing spots.”

An All-Star and Silver Slugger last season, Diaz is currently hitting .273 with 104 hits, eight home runs and 46 RBI.

He also has a .726 OPS.

A career .288 lifetime hitter, Diaz can also play third base.

With Diaz primarily playing first and DH this season, it’s hard to see him overtaking Rowdy Tellez, at least the Tellez of late.

Andrew McCutchen has been a decent DH, batting .226 with 13 home runs and an OPS of .716.

Diaz could be the first baseman of the future, but where do you put him in this current lineup?
