Its international prospect signing day and there a lot of teams being aggressive with this year's class, including the Pirates.

The Bucs locked down two of the top 30 prospects available along with 20 others to add depth to the farm system.

The top get for the Pirates was No. 10 ranked prospect RHP Jun-Seok Shim from South Korea. The reports came out earlier last week that they were the front runner to get Shim's signature.

Shim has a big figure at 6'4" and 215 lbs with a commanding fastball that sits at around 94-96 mph, but can touch 100 mph. He also features a strong 12-6 curveball along with a slider and change up that could develop into plus pitches later on.

He's impressed scouts with his arm action and athleticism that give him solid command of all his pitches.

Their other top signing was OF Raymond Mola from the Dominican Republic, who ranks 26th on the prospect rankings.

Mola is a 17-year-old with a large frame coming in at 6'2" and 170 lbs. He's been rated consistently across all assets of the game.

He projects to be an everyday corner outfielder with the potential to be an offensive force. His defense and speed are around average, but has solid arm strength.

Scouts expect him to grown substantially and unlock his hit tool in his progression to the minors, which will be key to his ceiling.
