It looks like #53 will remain at center for the Pittsburgh Steelers next season.
The team announced what numbers their unsigned draft picks will wear for the upcoming season.
Center Kendrick Green out of Illinois will wear Maurkice Pouncey's number after the long-time center retired from football at the end of the 2020 season.
Tight End Pat Freiermuth will wear #88 (famously worn by Lynn Swann).
Linebacker Buddy Johnson out of Texas A&M will wear #51 made famous by James Farrior and last worn by Tuzar Skipper)
Defensive end Isaiahh Loudermiler will wear #92 (James Harrison obviously)
Safety Tre Norwood will wear #21 (worn by Tony Dungy)
Linebacker Quincy Roche will wear #48 (last worn by Bud Dupree)
Punter Pressley Harvin III will rock the #6 (Bubby Brister)
It was announce shortly after the draft that the Steelers 1st round draft pick Najee Harris will wear #22 which was made famous by Bobby Layne, who was picked 3rd overall in the 1948 draft.
