PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – From the Watts' to the Edmunds' to the Heyward's and Herbig's the Steelers embrace family connections. They made another one on Thursday by signing a second Fehoko to the practice squad.

On Wednesday, the team retained free-agent signee Breiden Fehoko to the practice squad and now have added his cousin, Simi Fehoko. The 6'3", 220-pound wide receiver played 10 games the last two seasons with Dallas with three receptions for 24 yards. Simi also played in 31% of the special teams snaps the past two years. He was the Cowboys fifth-round pick out of Stanford in 2021.


Also added to the practice squad

·      Offensive tackle Kellen Diesch-physically imposing at 6'7", 300 pounds, Diesch was signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent last year, released and spent 2022 on the Bears practice squad. Diesch spent 2023 training camp with the Bears before being released on cut-down day.

·      6'3", 292-pound Joey Fisher, a guard from PSAC school Shepherd University who was an undrafted free agent released by the 49ers. Fisher played tackle in college.

·      Defensive back Josiah Scott, 5'10", 175 pounds who was the Jags fourth-round pick in 2020. He played six games for Jacksonville and the last two seasons with Philadelphia starting four of the 16 games he played last season with a pair of interceptions, eight passes defended and 26 tackles.

Steelers now have 13 on the practice squad with a limit of 16.
