PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) From beginning to end, 2021 did not go the way the Pittsburgh Steelers or their fans had planned.
As the NFL gets underway with the offseason, they decided to rank each of the 62 quarterbacks to start at least a game.
The Steelers did not have the best showing in the top-62.
Ben Roethlisberger in his final year finished as the lowest ranked full-time starter in the AFC North.
Big Ben landed at 29 on the list, behind Joe Burrow (6), Lamar Jackson (14), and Baker Mayfield (25).
Taking things from bad to worse is the possible future Steelers' QB Mason Rudolph finishing 53rd.
With only nine names behind Rudolph, some quarterbacks that finished ahead of him in the rankings are Joe Flacco (51), Mike White (50), and Geno Smith (40).
By the NFL's own standard, Rudolph is not a good quarterback and won't be a good option for the Steelers next year if they plan on winning.
