PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan)- As part of the continued preview for Steelers-Cowboys this weekend, The Fan Morning Show linked up with Shan & RJ of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Friday.
The shows collaborated for a segment to discuss Sunday’s game…or as it turned out…not so much.
The Dallas morning crew first started with a crack at the election, wondering why Pennsylvania is doing its part to “hold up the election” by still counting votes.
Chris Mack responded by asking, “Is it true that the Cowboys have already filed a lawsuit to stop the counting of points by the Steelers?” The guys in Dallas seemed to appreciate that.
Credit to them, they then asked if people in Pittsburgh were discussing when the Steelers are going to pull their starters and what fans are worried about with the Cowboys to which Colin Dunlap said, “Nothing. Nothing at all. Not one thing.”
After answering those two questions, Shan & RJ then diverted the discussion by asking how the show was named “The Fan Morning Show” and what came in second place when deciding the name.
Colin pointed out the fact that they were avoiding the topic of…well…the Cowboys.
Their responses?
“Of course we are! Why would we want to talk about this football team?” “Do you watch football?” “Do you want to talk about Garrett Gilbert?!”
The two shows did discuss the brands of these two teams and how the game is still being aired later in the day with CBS’s A-team broadcast crew, despite the “garbage” Cowboys.
It was then quickly followed up by a Dallas question of… “what’s the weather forecast there today?”
At 2-6 with a 4th or 5th string quarterback getting set to suit up against the Steelers’ top-5 defense, you can understand why the folks in Big D wanted to change the subject so much.
