Joey Porter has signed a deal that will make him a linebackers coach in the XFL, joining head coach former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.
The XFL is taking its second attempt at a return with Porter joining the yet to be named San Antonio team.
Porter and Ward are not the only former Steelers players that will put on a headset in the XFL as Bruce Gradkowski and Rod Woodson have also accepted jobs.
Gradkowski is set to be the St. Louis team’s offensive coordinator, and Woodson as head coach of the Las Vegas team.
