One of the keys of the Steel Curtain defense that won four Super Bowls, Greenwood is a Semifinalist in the Seniors category for the upcoming Hall of Fame class. Greenwood is one of nine and a committee will pick three in December to be finalists.

Along with Greenwood-49ers running back Roger Craig, Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson, Washington lineman Joe Jacoby, New England receiver Stanley Morgan, Chiefs receiver Otis Taylor, Rams receiver Henry Ellard and Rams corner Eddie Meador.

Greenwood was a 10th-round drafted pick and finished with an unofficial 78 career sacks, it wasn't a recognized stat until 1982.
