Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is known for his colorful language to describe football and his players and we have a brand new one, that might be one of his best.
Speaking to reporters after practice on the South Side Monday, Tomlin debuted the new gem.
"We're still, still squirreling those nuts," said Tomlin.
The great new phrase came while he was talking about who will play opposite Joe Haden at slot corner.
Well, the Steelers have options, but no definitive answer as Tomlin's color response shows.
Tomlin's unique vocabulary has also turned into merchandise courtesy of his wife Kiya.
Mrs. Tomlin debuted a new "Gameday" shirt earlier this week. The black and gold shirt features one of Tomlin's favorite words, "obviously."
Some of our other favorite phrases are: "nameless gray faces", "one man's misfortune is another man's opportunity", "rough and tumble", "practice/participation will be our guide" and last year broke in "tough nut to crack."
