PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers haven't lost a game outside linebacker Alex Highsmith has started. After some early optimism, Wednesday he was still unable to practice.
Highsmith missed a month earlier in the season with a hamstring injury and is currently dealing with an ankle. He has three sacks in six games this year.
Out since the Jets game, versatile defensive lineman Montravius Adams has started the process to return from injured reserve. Adams went through a full practice on Wednesday as the team has 21 days to activate him or lose him for the season. Adams can play nose or left or right tackle. He's played in 42 games with the Steelers with 21 starts accumulating 66 tackles (34 solo), five tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, three passes defended, a forced fumble and a sack.
Defensive back Cory Trice, Junior is attempting to come back from a hamstring injury. He was also able to go full Wednesday.
