Primanti Bros. offers T.J. Watt a job while he rehabs

The DPOY won't tolerate anyone who wants slaw or fries on the side

While Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt is out for the next four to six weeks with a pectoral injury, Primanti Bros. is stepping up and offering the reigning Defensive Player of the Year a short-term job while he rehabs.

"Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar has made a conditional offer to Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt for, 'light duty work,' at its original location in Pittsburgh's Strip District," the local chain said in a release.

"While the market has stabilized, we're always looking for great new people to work in our restaurants," said Adam Golomb, president and chief officer of Throwing It Against the Wall to See if it Sticks, Primanti Bros. "When we saw T.J. Watt was going to be available, we knew we needed to act fast."

Watt worked the grill back in 2017 after being drafted by the Steelers.

Watt indicated on Twitter he would take the job seriously saying, "I would tackle anyone who orders fries & slaw on the side."

"We've seen what he can do on the grill," said Golomb. "So we feel comfortable making this offer without even interviewing or speaking to T.J. whatsoever. In fact, he has absolutely no idea we've made him an offer at all."

Primanti Bros. added that if he does work a couple shifts, he will be "compensated fairly."

"We're not sure we can match his team salary – but we'll certainly get as close as we can," said Golomb. "With that said, we expect to be very, very far away."

So, if you go to Primanti Bros. and see Watt, make sure you don't get your fries and slaw on the side. You don't want him to have to tackle you and reinjure his pec even more.
