Free agent quarterback Russell Wilson is on his way to Pittsburgh, according to reports.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Wilson was seen at the Newark Airport, getting a flight to Pittsburgh to talk with the Steelers.

A source told Rapoport that Wilson was taking pictures with fans and hung out with them “before boarding the flight.”

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter Wilson was in New York for an "exploratory meeting” with the Giants before leaving for Pittsburgh.

With his former team, the Denver Broncos, owing Wilson $39 million, it’s believed that he will sign with a team for the league minimum or close to it.

Last season though, Wilson threw 26 touchdowns to only eight interceptions with a 66.4 completion percentage, third best of his career. The quarterback rating shot up to 98, which was SEVENTH in the league. The adjusted completion percentage, as to not punish him for dropped passes, was second only to Patrick Mahomes in the entire league.
