Since the turn of the new millennium, the Steelers have been wearing uniforms featuring rounded numbers and a Steeler logo on the front.
Many fans have clamored for a full-time return of the block numbers.
The Steelers won their first four Super Bowl Championships in the block lettering.
The team has used the block numbers for a game or two during the season the past few years.
They also have utilized the all black and gold color rush jerseys.
The NFL is allowing an alternate helmet again. The Steelers, in the past, have used an all-gold helmet to go with their alternate jerseys, but haven't indicated that they will be using anything other than black this season.
JJ Watt, who was in Pittsburgh for the win against Tennessee expressed his support for the block and wants to see more.
