PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – There were hopes of getting a few late adds off the COVID-19 list, however not the case for the Steelers Monday night.
Linebackers Joe Schobert and Devin Bush (a second consecutive game) and defensive end Chris Wormley all unable to test negative in time to return for the game. Also out due to the coronavirus-offensive tackle Zach Banner, running back Anthony McFarland, Jr. and corner Arthur Maulet.
Punter Pressley Harvin was questionable, but will miss, spending the week at his father's funeral. Corliss Waitman will punt for a second straight week. Waitman hit two booming punts against the Chiefs averaging 60.5 yards per kick. He will also hold for kicks.
Defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs added to the active roster and off the COVID-19 list, but won't play due to his ankle injury. Buggs hasn't played since the Chargers game. Linebacker Buddy Johnson with a foot injury and quarterback Dwayne Haskins also inactive.
Brought in from the Bengals practice squad outside linebacker Tegray Scales, who played a couple of games with the Steelers in 2020, is active. Scales also spent the 2019 season on the Steelers practice squad. Running back Trey Edmunds is active for a second straight game and guard Rashaad Coward is active for a third game this year.
