PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Maybe it was the Thanksgiving dinner at Mike Tomlin’s house that had a curing power. Likely it was just that the Steelers were being cautious with receiver George Pickens early in the week as he is good to play Sunday against Cincinnati.
Pickens missed practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday with a shin injury. He said he was kicked in the shin and joked it was some UFC action. Pickens said ‘it’s been pretty the same’ with Eddie Faulkner taking over as the offensive coordinator this week. He said it’s up to the players to make a difference. Pickens did admit it’s been good to have his voice in the meetings.
It will be a November without Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Pro Bowl safety did not practice all week due to the hamstring injury suffered against Jacksonville and will not play against the Bengals Sunday.
While working his way back and limited in practice all week, defensive lineman Montravius Adams will not play Sunday.
Cam Heyward, who was limited with a groin injury and OLB Nick Herbig, who was limited with a hamstring injury, are both cleared to play. Corner James Pierre is questionable as he was unable to practice Friday due to a shoulder injury suffered in practice.
Cincinnati lists Joe Burrow as out, not yet putting him on injured reserve. Also out, starting receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) and corner Cam Taylor-Britt (quad). Offensive tackle D’Ante Smith (knee) is doubtful and linebacker Germaine Pratt (illness) is questionable.
