PHILADELPHIA (93.7 The Fan) – It’s a pretty good silver lining to the dark cloud of the loss in Philadelphia. With losses by the Colts and Dolphins, the Steelers clinched a playoff spot with three games to go.

Reaction Sunday night was pretty much summed up by Steelers corner Joey Porter, Junior.

“That’s cool, but we lost,” Porter said. “That’s where my main focus is on.”

Mike Tomlin said he didn’t have a thought on it minutes after a 27-13 loss to the Eagles. He said they had a game to win and didn’t do it. Some of the other stuff is less relevant.

“We lost,” said offensive tackle Broderick Jones. “We are not in the playoffs yet. We still have a couple more games in the regular season to finish. That’s where my mind is right now. We aren’t too concerned about the playoffs. That’s where my mind is right now. We’ll worry about the playoffs when we get there.”

“It's a great thing for us,” said quarterback Russell Wilson, quickly turning his demeanor. “That's our expectation. But we want to win this division, that's our goal. It's our first goal, to win the division. We have a lot of respect for this division, the teams, coaches, and the players in this division.”

Steelers clinch the AFC North with a win in Baltimore Saturday at 4:25p.

“We got to get ready for Baltimore Saturday,” said linebacker Elandon Roberts. “We got to fix this, fix it quickly because we got a division opponent in their home. We got to fix this and get on the right page.”

Wilson said they’ve got to go take it Saturday. It’s one of the areas receiver Calvin Austin was upset about on Sunday in Philadelphia. He felt like they received punches and didn’t deliver them.

“We’ve got to go find a way on the road in Baltimore, which we know is going to be a great football game,” Wilson said. “And I think the biggest thing is, we’ve got to do whatever it takes to win. And that's really all that matters is finding ways to win, especially in high-level competition.”

“We'll be ready to go. We'll make sure that we get healed up and as healthy as possible. And then at the same time, make sure that we have a great game

plan to go with and capitalize.”

“There are bigger fish to fry,” said captain Cam Heyward. “We are not trying to just squeak in the playoffs. We have a playoff team. We known that before this game. We played a quality playoff opponent. Didn’t have our best showing, but there is a lot of ball in front of us.”
