PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – When you draft a couple of defensive linemen, you are going to need room on the roster. Steelers released veteran Montravius Adams as first reported by ESPN.

The 29-year-old Adams came to the Steelers at the end of the 2021 season, starting four of the five games he played. Injury cost him seven games last season and he would play a total of 46 games overall in Pittsburgh, starting 21. He had 72 tackles with the Steelers, six tackles for loss and seven passes defensed.

The move saves the Steelers 2.25 million, not that the Steelers were hurting for cap space, but it frees up some money.
