PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) As the Pittsburgh Steelers begin to practice with pads, they make a roster move to bring in a new wide receiver.
The Steelers announced that they signed receiver Javon McKinley and waived Tyree Johnson.
McKinley signed with the Detroit Lions in 2021 after going undrafted and spent the season on the practice squad.
The Lion released McKinley in May of 2022.
McKinley played at Notre Dame from 2016 to 2020 and caught 53 passes for 985 yards with seven touchdowns.
