Tennessee Titans signing former Pitt WR Tyler Boyd

Any hope of Pittsburgh native Tyler Boyd would play in black and gold this coming NFL season is over.

The veteran wide receiver is reportedly signing with the Tennessee Titans.

The Clairton native and Pitt alum was taken in the second-round of the 2016 draft by Cincinnati and has played his entire career with the Bengals, until now.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Boyd is signing with the Titans on a one-year deal worth $4.5 million.

The PM Team’s Andrew Fillipponi said in early April that the Steelers offered Boyd two-years, worth $10 million.

Though, The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly said that the Steelers were sort of lukewarm about Boyd

The 29-year-old has 6,000 yards over eight seasons in the NFL with 31 touchdowns.

While it would’ve been nice to see a hometown kid in a Steelers uniform, it ultimately won’t be a make or break move for Pittsburgh.
