The Steelers were not good enough to win on Sunday. The referees did them no favorite, missing calls and making others that were incorrect.

During his weekly press conference on Monday, Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin addressed the officiating.

He addressed it by not addressing it, saying they need to be good enough to overcome bad calls.

“It’s our desire to win definitely, where potentially controversial calls are less significant, that’s what good teams do, that’s what elite teams do,” said Tomlin.

Tomlin said there were some “debatable calls”, but that happens in most games.

He said after the game on Sunday that he has never seen an offsides call wiping out a Steelers field goal.

On Monday, he said he was going to keep any comments he had about that to himself.

During the game though, you could clearly see Tomlin’s frustrations.

“What the f**k is wrong with y’all today,” Tomlin could be saying toward one of the refs.

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson said the refs cost them the game.

“They were calling some stupid stuff,” Johnson said. “They should get fined for making terrible calls. That’s how pissed I am. They cost us the game. I don’t care what nobody says, they cost us the game.”

One thing is for sure, Johnson will likely see a fine of his own.
