WR McCloud off COVID protocol, OL Haeg goes on

The Steelers will have their main kick returner back against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud was activated from the Reserve/COVID list on Wednesday afternoon, but with McCloud coming off, offensive lineman Joe Haeg has been placed on it.

Haeg has played eight games so far this season for Pittsburgh, starting in one.

Haeg signed with the Steelers in the before the season after spending 2020 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

McCloud has 21 kickoff returns so far this season for 503 yards, averaging 24-yards. He has also returned 22 points for 194 yards.

Outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been in the protocol list since Monday.

It will be difficult for Watt and Haeg to play, they need to test negative in two consecutive tests in a 24 hour period after any symptoms subside.
