DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys officially began searching for their next head coach over the weekend, but could they have already found their man?

According to Michael Lombardi of The Athletic, an agent who has clients in the head coaching search, the Cowboys already have their sights set on someone.

"Just talked to an agent involved who has clients in the coaching search, and he feels Dallas has their man. I asked who? he said, not sure, but they are done looking."

Jerry and Stephen Jones officially moved on from Jason Garrett on Sunday, a day after they interviewed former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy and Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. So, does this lead to the idea that a deal with McCarthy is done?

"I think it leads to the idea that these reports that the Cowboys only want someone with head coaching experience ... I think that's wrong," 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher said on Shan and RJ Monday morning when asked about the report. "I think they've been doing research on this for months and months. So if they got their guy, it doesn't have to be someone they interviewed officially. It could have been someone they interviewed unofficially."

So which agency did Lombardi speak to? Shan Shariff pointed out that McCarthy is repped by 'Athletes First', which also happens to represent other coaching candidates including Matt Rhule, Lincoln Riley and Urban Meyer.
