PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Robert Morris men’s basketball announced they will open this season like it did last season, hosting a local team.

The Colonials are home to Point Park on Wednesday, November 25.

Then play at Central Michigan (Nov.
28), home to Florida Gulf Coast (Dec. 2) and then back on the road for two straight, St. Francis U (Dec. 5) and West Virginia (Dec. 9).

Their first game as members of the Horizon League will be at home against Cleveland State on Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20.  As the conference will have five home weekends and five road weekends where the home team will play the same opponent twice as part of new coronavirus protocols.

"We're excited about the schedule for the 2020-21 season," RMU Pat Gallagher Head Coach Andrew Toole said in a release by the school. "I know our student-athletes can't wait to go out and compete against quality non-conference opponents in preparation for our first season in the Horizon League. It's a challenging schedule, and I'm looking forward to watching our team develop."

RMU will also play home series against Milwaukee (Jan 1-2), Northern Kentucky (Jan. 22-23), Youngstown State (Feb.
5-6) and Oakland (Feb. 12-13).

Robert Morris plans to have a limited number of fans for its three non-conference home games, but Horizon League rules prohibit fans for conference games in December.  The league said it will evaluate whether it will allow fans starting in January at a later date.
