Following reports that the Steelers are “smitten” with him, Malik Willis says he “doesn’t know” if he would be a fit for the Steelers.

Speaking during the NFL Combine on Wednesday, Willis was asked if he’s talked to the Steelers and he said “I’ve met with a lot of teams.”
Willis added that he met with the Steelers coaches and that they’re “good people,” but he doesn’t know enough about the offense to have an answer one way or the other if he would be a good fit in Pittsburgh.
“I feel like all these coaching have their information they can pass on to me and help me get better, but I wouldn’t have a club,” said Willis on if he’s fit in in Pittsburgh.
NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks mocks Willis going to the Steelers at #20 saying, “Head coach Mike Tomlin ushers in a new era with an ultra-athletic quarterback supported by a defense that could enable the Steelers to survive the youngster's growing pains.”
Former NFL general manager Doug Whaley has told the Fan Morning Show he isn’t sold on Willis and says he’s basically just a guy with a “fastball” and that he would take a lot of developing.
Willis was asked about his critics on Wednesday and said “Somebody’s always gonna think you’re trash.”
“You can say what you want to. I’m going to let the opinion of people I trust and can respect affect me.”
