Eight students from Anaheim High School were hit by a suspected DUI driver on Wednesday.
It happened at 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and North Street.
Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter told KNX News' Pete Demetriou the students, who were part of the track team, were waiting for the light to change when they were hit. The students were taken to the hospital.
"I can happily report that none of them are facing life-threatening injuries at this time," Sgt. Sutter said. "We just learned that, so thankfully they will all survive, but they have varying degrees of injuries."
The driver, a 27-year-old man, was also hospitalized. Sgt. Sutter said that from the way the man appeared, they believe he was under the influence.
