LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The Music Center in Downtown Los Angeles will require full COVID-19 vaccination and a booster shot to attend a performance starting Jan. 17.
The expansion of the organization’s vaccination policy was announced Wednesday and applies to all indoor performances and events at the Ahmanson Theatre, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The Music Center said its policy is in line with its commitment “both to safety and the importance of creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all who visit the campus,” according to a news release. The policy will also apply to Music Center staff and vendors.
Center officials will allow guests who are eligible for the booster but have been unable to get one a one-month grace period.
L.A. Opera, which does not resume performances until March 2022, is currently evaluating its policies, officials added.
Attendees who are unable to provide proof of a full vaccination and a booster will be allowed to present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the specific performance or a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours of the performance, according to the release.
At-home COVID-19 tests will not be accepted, the release said.
