Dina's Dirt Special Tribute to Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer has passed away at 65-years-old from pneumonia, according to his daughter. Val fought throat cancer in 2014, but later recovered. Val started off his movie career with "Top Secret" which opened the door for his launch into stardom with "Top Gun," "The Doors," and his famous turn as Doc Holliday in the movie "Tombstone." He's one of the famous faces to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in "Batman Forever." Despite difficulty speaking because of two previous tracheotomies, Val returned as Iceman for his final film role in 2022 for the "Top Gun" sequel, "Top Gun: Maverick." In his memoir, "I'm Your Huckelberry," he talked about how he almost turned down the role of Iceman in "Top Gun," explaining, "I didn't want the part. I didn't care about the film. The story didn't interest me." He eventually agreed to on the promise that his role would improve from the initial script.
