2022 Pro Football Knockout Contest Rules

These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Audacy Pennsylvania, LLC, d/b/a WIP-FM (“Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available on the Station’s website at www.94WIP.com/Rules. As a preventative measure in light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, copies of the specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules will not be available at the Station’s studio. To the extent the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this contest.  

How to Enter

1.   No purchase is necessary to enter or participate in the WIP-FM 2022 Pro Football Knockout Contest (“Contest”).

2.   For purposes of this Contest, a “Contest Week” means Tuesday at 12:01am (ET) through the published cutoff time for each game as posted on the picks page of Contest selection page. To participate in any or all Contest Week(s), you will need to visit your account at any time after Tuesday at 12:01am until fifteen (15) minutes before the start time of the last listed game of that week to make your picks for that week.

3.   Beginning at approximately 12:01am (ET) on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 through fifteen (15) minutes before the start of the last listed game in any particular Contest Week through January 8, 2023:  

a.   Go to the contest page on the Station website, www.94WIP.com/LastFanStanding;

b.   Complete and submit the online entry/registration form (each completed entry an “Entry” submitted by an “Entrant”). Entrants must submit all information required on the entry form, which may include first and last name, telephone number, email address, home address, and/or date of birth. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning the email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an Entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt. Limit one (1) Entry per person and per email address.

c.    For each Contest Week, select the team that you believe will win its scheduled matchup (each a “Weekly Pick”). If your Weekly Pick wins their scheduled game, you will “survive” and will remain in the “Knockout Pool” until you select a team that loses its game that week. Once you select a team during a Week in the Contest, you cannot reuse or reselect that team again as a Weekly Pick in this Contest.

d.   You must pick your Weekly Pick at least fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled start time of the game you select the winner of for that week (each a “Weekly Pick Deadline”). If you attempt register close to the Weekly Pick Deadline you risk the chance of not getting your registration completed and of not being entered into the Contest. In addition, you will not be able to pick a winner from any of the Week 1 games that started prior to completing your entry. If you wait until Sunday or Monday of any Contest Week you will not be able to pick a winner from the previous Thursday’s game or any game(s) on Sunday or Monday that started prior to registering or making a Weekly Pick.

e.   At the time you select your Weekly Pick, you must also enter your prediction for the final score for that game. This will be used for any tie-breaking (as described in Section 5 below).

How to Win

4.   In any Contest Week, if your Weekly Pick loses its scheduled game, you will be eliminated from the Knockout Pool. Entrants eliminated from the Knockout Pool are not eligible for any prize associated with the Knockout Pool. The last entrant remaining in the Knockout Pool will win the Grand Prize, upon verification of eligibility. If there are multiple Entrants left in the Knockout Pool, then tie-breaker rules will apply to determine the “Grand Prize Winner” (as described in Section 5 below).

5.   Tie-Breaker Rules: Every week that you choose the winner of a regular season game, you will be asked to predict the score, of that game. The difference between the tiebreaker scores you choose each week and the actual final game scores will be subtracted from 100 possible points, each week. The closer your picks are to the actual final scores, the less points will be subtracted from the 100 possible points, each week. In case of any ties at the end of the season, the best overall cumulative tiebreaker score will be used to decide the Grand Prize Winner. If no entrant makes it to week 18 in the knockout pool then the winner is the entrant who lasts the longest in the pool. If two (2) or more entrants are eliminated the same week, so that no entrants remain in the Knockout Pool prior to week 18, the tie for the applicable pool will be broken by using the tie-breaker method as described above, a tie still exists, one overall winner will be randomly selected from the entrants last eliminated.

6.   Failing to make a selection. In any Contests Week, if an Entrant fails to make a valid Weekly Pick, they will be “knocked out” of the Contest. 

7.   Repeat selection rule: Making a repeat selection of a team (for the Entrant’s Weekly Pick) is prohibited. For example, if an Entrant selects the Buffalo professional football team to win as his/her final Week 1 Weekly Pick, that Entrant will be unable to select the Buffalo professional football team again while participating in the Knockout Contest. 

8.   In any matchup, the team that wins the scheduled game will be scored as a winning selection. The team that loses a scheduled matchup will be scored a losing selection. In the event of a tie, both teams will be scored as a winning selection.

9.   When one (1) single Entrant remains in the Knockout Pool, the Entrant will be declared the winner of the Knockout Pool. If there are multiple Entrants in the Knockout Pool, the Knockout Contest will continue until there is only one (1) Entrant with a status as “Still Active” in the Knockout Pool or until the end of Week 18 of the 2022-2023 professional football regular season. If there are multiple Entrants remaining in the Knockout Pool at the end of the regular season, then tie-breaker rules apply until a single winner is determined who will be awarded the Grand Prize (as described in Section 10 below).

Prize(s)

10. The one (1) verified Grand Prize Winner of this Contest will receive one (1) Grand Prize. The “Grand Prize” is one (1) Last Fan Standing Pool Championship Ring, courtesy of Mark`s Jewelers. The Grand Prize is valued at $12,000.00.

a.   The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified by phone/email on or around Monday, January 9, 2023. In the event that the potential Grand Prize Winner is not reachable as solely determined by the Station within seven (7) days following notification (e.g., no response to email or voicemail), the Station reserves the right to select an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner based the same criteria listed above in Sections 4 and 5. If the Station cannot find an eligible winner for the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize will not be awarded.

b.   The Grand Prize will be awarded only upon verification of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The Grand Prize Winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within seven (7) days of winning or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. If the potential Grand Prize Winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the fully-executed affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential Grand Prize Winner forfeits the Grand Prize.

c.    Upon confirmation of eligibility, the Grand Prize Winner will be directed to schedule an appointment with a representative from Mark`s Jewelers and going to the store located at 975 Bethlehem Pike (Rt 309 North) Montgomeryville, PA 18936. Such appointment must be made by Friday, July 15, 2023. The Grand Prize Winner must show proper identification to claim the Grand Prize when they arrive.

d.   Grand Prize winner will be invited to be a call-in radio guest on the Glen Macnow Show, between 10:00am (ET) and 1:00pm (ET) on a TBD Saturday in January 2023.

Odds of Winning

11. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the relative professional football knowledge of all entrants.

Other Rule(s) Specific to this Contest

13. ENTRANTS UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, DUE TO COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS), GOVERNMENT REGULATION, DISASTERS, STRIKES, CIVIL UNREST OR DISORDER, OR OTHER CAUSES, THE 2022-2023 U.S. PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL SEASON MAY NOT BE CONDUCTED AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED. ACCORDINGLY, This Contest may be suspended or cancelled by the Station at any time if the 2022-2023 U.S. PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL SEASON is suspended, POSTPONED, or cancelled. If the professional football season and/or this Contest is suspended or cancelled then the highest NET SCORE will be calcuated based only on the games from contest weeks that were completed prior to the suspension or cancellation of the professional football season and/or Contest, provided, however, that if fewer than five (5) contest weeks are or were completed prior to the suspension or cancellation of the professional football season and/or Contest, the station reserves the right to not award A prize in this contest.

14. In the event that during a Contest Week one or more games are cancelled, suspended, delayed or postponed for any reason, then such game(s) will be excluded from the Contest that week, and no points will be awarded for such game(s).

15. For entertainment purposes only, one (1) or more Station employees may talk about their picks and/or how they are doing in this Contest. Such employees may appear on the stats pages as Entrants in this Contest and/or winners or leaders in this Contest. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event will any Station employee be an eligible participant in this Contest and shall not be entitled to win any prizes in this Contest. In the event that a Station employee is selected by the Software Provider software (as described in Section 16 below) as a winner, he/she shall be deemed ineligible and Station will manually award the Entrant with the highest score(s) (as set forth above) to be winners in this Contest.

16. The entry process may require Entrants to login to, or to create, a free account with the third-party provider of a software platform used by the Station for such Contest(s) (“Software Provider”), by going to the Website, clicking on the Contest entry link, and completing and submitting the online registration form with all required information.

a.  Limit one (1) account with the Software Provider per email address.

b.  Software Provider is not a sponsor of this Contest, but Entrants may be required, as part of the entry process, to agree and consent to the Software Provider’s terms of service and/or privacy policy, both of which will be available via a link during the entry or account registration process (collectively, the “Software Provider Policies”).

c.  If the Entrant elects to have their entry form pre-loaded or pre-populated with information from the Entrant’s Facebook, Twitter, Google, or LinkedIn profiles, such Entrant authorizes the Software Provider and the Station to access, utilize and/or pre-load to such entry form, applicable portions of Entrant’s profile information from such account. 

d.  While agreement to the Software Provider Policies may be required in order to enter the Contest, the Software Provider Policies are not a part of these Contest Rules but are a separate agreement between the Entrant and Software Provider. In the event of any conflict between the Software Provider Policies and the Rules, the Rules will govern.

e.  Station is not responsible for any error or technical malfunctions associated with the Software Provider site that may affect any Entrant’s ability to enter, to win, or to be properly considered in the Contest, regardless of the cause. In the event of a malfunction associated with the Software Provider site that the Station in its sole and absolute discretion deems to materially and adversely affect the Contest, the Station reserves the right to (1) suspend the Contest; (2) terminate the Contest without a Winner; (3) terminate the Contest and select a Winner early; (4) provide alternative means of entry; and/or make any other changes to the Contest that the Station deems appropriate under the circumstances. Any such changes, terminations or suspensions will be published on the Contest Rules Page, and in the Station’s sole and absolute discretion, may also be announced on-air, published elsewhere on the Website, and/or published on social media.

f.   Employees of Software Provider and its affiliates, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win in this Contest.

17. Employees of the Software Provider and its affiliates, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win in this Contest.

18. This Contest is in no way connected with, affiliated with, or endorsed by, Facebook, or the NFL, or any of its affiliated teams, players, or players union. All references to any football name or term is purely nominative and not intended to imply any connection, affiliation, or endorsement. This Contest is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL or any NFL team or Facebook.

19. This game may not be used in connection with any form of gambling. This game is strictly for entertainment purposes only and in connection with the Contest described above.

20. This Contest may be suspended or cancelled by the Station at any time if the professional football season is suspended or cancelled.
