2021 Pro Football Knockout Contest Rules

These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Audacy Pennsylvania, LLC, d/b/a WIP-FM (“Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available on the Station’s website at www.94WIP.com/Rules. As a preventative measure in light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, copies of the specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules will not be available at the Station’s studio. To the extent the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this contest.  

How to Enter and Win

1.   No purchase is necessary to enter or participate in the WIP-FM 2021 Pro Football Knockout Contest (“Contest”).

2.   The registration/entry process will require you to either log into an existing account, or create a free account with the game administrator, UPICKEM. You may either elect the option to have your Facebook profile pre-load applicable portions of the entry form (Facebook account is not required to enter this Contest), or complete the online entry/registration form by submitting the Entrant’s full name, address of legal residence, phone number (including area code), age, username (subject to acceptance by Contest software to eliminate duplicate usernames), password, e-mail address, and other information requested (some of which may be optional). Limit one (1) UPICKEM account per email address. Limit one (1) entry per UPICKEM account.

3.   The Contest will begin at 12:01am (ET) on September 9, 2021 and end on January 9, 2022 (each week of such season, a “Contest Week”). To participate in any or all Contest Week(s), you will need to visit your account at any time after 12:01am (ET) on each Tuesday of each Contest week until each week’s Weekly Pick Deadline. You must pick your Weekly Pick (as described in Section 4(d) below) at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled start time of the game you select the winner of for that week (each a “Weekly Pick Deadline”). If you attempt register close to the Weekly Pick Deadline you risk the chance of not getting your registration completed and of not being entered into the Contest. In addition, you will not be able to pick a winner from any of the Week 1 games that started prior to completing your entry. If you wait until Sunday or Monday of any Contest Week you will not be able to pick a winner from the previous Thursday’s game or any game(s) on Sunday or Monday that started prior to registering or making a Weekly Pick.

4.   Beginning at approximately 12:01am (ET) on September 9, 2021 through five (5) minutes before the start of the last listed game in any particular Contest Week through January 9, 2022:  

a.   Go to the Contest page on the Station website, www.94WIP.com/LastFanStanding;

b.   Click on the Contest link;

c.    Complete and submit the online entry/registration form with your contact information (name, address, phone number and email address),and confirmation that you are over eighteen (18) years of age (each an “Entrant”); and

d.   For each week, select the team that you believe will win its scheduled matchup (each a “Weekly Pick”). If your Weekly Pick wins their scheduled game, you will “survive” and will remain in the “Knockout Pool” until you select a team that loses its game that week. Once you select a team during a Week in the Contest, you cannot reuse or reselect that team again as a Weekly Pick in this Contest (with the exception of any potential Roadblock Game or Tie Breaker Game).

5.   In any Contest Week, if your Weekly Pick loses its scheduled game, you will be eliminated from the Knockout Pool. Entrants eliminated from the Knockout Pool are not eligible for any prize associated with the Knockout Pool, but you will be able to participate in the Second Chance Pool (as described in Section 6 below). The last entrant remaining in the Knockout Pool will win the Grand Prize, upon verification of eligibility. If there are multiple Entrants left in the Knockout Pool, then tie-breaker rules will apply to determine the “Grand Prize Winner” (as described in Section 11 below).

6.   The “Second Chance Pool” provides a “second chance” to continue participating in the Contest once you have been eliminated from the Knockout Pool. Starting in Week 2 of the 2021-2022 professional football regular season, any Entrant who suffers a loss in the Knockout Pool will automatically be placed into the Second Chance Pool. When an Entrant is entered into the Second Chance Pool, that Entrant may continue with his/her existing pool of available teams and the same rules apply, whereby the Entrant cannot re-use any team (selected in either the Knockout Pool or the Second Chance Pool) during any Contest Week of the Contest.

a.   Entrants in the Second Chance Pool will continue making one (1) Weekly Pick each Contest Week until he/she loses or until the Knockout Contest is over. If an Entrant in the Second Chance Pool makes a Weekly Pick and that team loses their scheduled game that week, that Entrant will be totally eliminated from the Second Chance Pool and not ineligible for any prizes in the Contest.

b.   If there are multiple Entrants left in the Second Chance Pool at Week 18, the tie-breaker rules will apply to determine a single Second Chance Pool Winner (as described in Section 12 below).

7.   At the Station’s discretion, a “Road Block Game” may be placed into the Contest (in the Knockout Pool and the Second Chance Pool) during any Contest Week. A Road Block Game is an additional pick Entrants must make to remain active in their current pool. A Road Block Game (if selected by the Station) will be a matchup between two (2) professional football teams playing in the Week the Road Block Game appears. Entrants must correctly predict the Road Block Game winner (a “Road Block Pick”) as well as correctly make a Weekly Pick for of any of the other games in that Week to remain in their current pool.

a.   The Road Block Game pick will not preclude an Entrant from choosing the selected team in a future Week if it has not been previously selected. Likewise, if a team has been used in a prior Week, it can still be selected in the Road Block Game. However, an Entrant cannot select a team from the Road Block Game as his/her regular pick.

b.   In the Week where a Road Block Game appears, any Entrant who does not correctly pick the Road Block Game winner and/or does not make a correct Weekly selection for his/her regular pick will be “knocked out” of his/her current pool. In this case, a Knockout Pool Entrant will then enter the Second Chance Pool. If this happens to a Second Chance Pool Entrant, that Entrant will be “totally eliminated” from the Knockout Contest.

8.   Tie-Breaker Rules: if multiple Entrants remain in either the Knockout Pool or the Second Chance Pool at Week 18 of the 2021-2022 professional football regular season, a Tie-Breaker Game will be selected by the Station (the “Tie-Breaker Game”) as described below:

a.   For purposes of determining the winner of the Knockout Pool or Second Chance Pool in the event that multiple participants make it to Week 18: using a Tie-Breaker Game for Week 18, (a) the score of the winning team predicted by each remaining Entrant will be subtracted from the actual score obtained by the winning team, and the difference multiplied by itself, (b) the score of the losing team predicted by such Entrant will be subtracted from the actual score obtained by the losing team, and the difference multiplied by itself, (c) the result in (a) will be added to the result in (b) to obtain the "Score Approximation." The remaining Entrant with the lowest Score Approximation will be deemed the winner of the Knockout Pool or Second Chance Pool as applicable. If a tie remains, the winner will be picked at random from among those still tied.

b.   If no Entrant makes it to Week 18 in the Knockout Pool or the Second Chance Pool, then the winner is the Entrant who lasts the longest in the applicable pool. If two (2) or more Entrants are eliminated the same Week so that no Entrants remain in the Knockout Pool or the Second Chance Pool prior to Week 18, the tie for the applicable pool will be broken by randomly selecting the winner from the Entrants last eliminated.

9.   Failing to make a selection. In any Contests Week, if an Entrant fails to make a valid Weekly Pick and/or fails to make a Road Block Pick, he/she will be “knocked out” of his/her current pool. In this case, if an Entrant fails to make a pick in the Knockout Pool, he/she is then placed into the Second Chance Pool at the start of the following Week. If a Second Chance Pool Entrant fails to make a correct Weekly Pick and/or fails to make a Road Block Pick, he/she is then “totally eliminated” from the Contest.

10. Repeat selection rule: Making a repeat selection of a team (for the Entrant’s Weekly Pick) is prohibited. This applies to both the Knockout Pool and the Second Chance Pool. For example, if an Entrant selects the Buffalo professional football team to win as his/her final Week 1 Weekly Pick, that Entrant will be unable to select the Buffalo professional football team again while participating in the Knockout Contest. When an Entrant is entered into the Second Chance Pool, the Entrant continues with his/her existing pool of available teams and the same rules apply, whereby the Entrant cannot re-use any team (selected in either the Knockout Pool or the Second Chance Pool) during any Week of the Contest.

11. In any matchup, the team that wins the scheduled game will be scored as a winning selection. The team that loses a scheduled matchup will be scored a losing selection. In the event of a tie, both teams will be scored as a winning selection.

12. When one (1) single Entrant remains in the Knockout Pool, the Entrant will be declared the winner of the Knockout Pool. If there are multiple Entrants in the Knockout Pool, the Knockout Contest will continue until there is only one (1) Entrant with a status as “Still Active” in the Knockout Pool or until the end of Week 18 of the 2021-2022 professional football regular season. If there are multiple Entrants remaining in the Knockout Pool at the end of the regular season, then tie-breaker rules apply until a single winner is determined who will be awarded the Grand Prize (as described in Section 15 below).

13. When one (1) single Entrant remains in the Second Chance Pool, that Entrant will be declared the winner of the Second Chance Pool and will win the Second Chance Pool Prize (as described in Section 14 below), upon verification. If there are multiple Entrants in the Second Chance Pool, the Knockout Contest will continue until there is only one (1) Entrant with a status as “Still Active” in the Second Chance Pool or until the end of Week 18 of the 2021-22 professional football regular season. If there are multiple Entrants remaining in the Second Chance Pool at the end of the regular season, then tie-breaker rules apply until a single “Second Chance Pool Prize Winner” is determined.

Prize(s)

14. The one (1) verified Second Chance Pool Prize Winner of this Contest will receive one (1) Second Chance Pool Prize. The “Second Chance Pool Prize” is one (1) SportsRadio 94WIP Prize Pack consisting of one (1) SportsRadio 94WIP Hoodie Sweatshirt, one (1) SportsRadio 94WIP Pen, one (1) SportsRadio 94WIP Can Coozie, and one (1) SportsRadio 94WIP Key Chain courtesy of SportsRadio 94WIP, valued at $20.00.

15. The one (1) verified Grand Prize Winner of this Contest will receive one (1) Grand Prize. The “Grand Prize” is one (1) Last Fan Standing Pool Championship Ring, courtesy of Mark`s Jewelers. The Grand Prize is valued at $12,000.00.

a.   The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified by phone/email on or around Monday, January 10, 2022. In the event that the potential Grand Prize Winner is not reachable as solely determined by the Station within seven (7) days following notification (e.g., no response to email or voicemail), the Station reserves the right to select an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner based the same criteria listed above in Section 12. If the Station cannot find an eligible winner for the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize will not be awarded.

b.   The Grand Prize will be awarded only upon verification of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The Grand Prize Winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within seven (7) days of winning or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. If the potential Grand Prize Winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the fully-executed affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential Grand Prize Winner forfeits the Grand Prize.

c.    Upon confirmation of eligibility, the Grand Prize Winner will be directed to schedule an appointment with a representative from Mark`s Jewelers and going to the store located at 975 Bethlehem Pike (Rt 309 North) Montgomeryville, PA 18936. Such appointment must be made by Friday, July 15, 2022. The Grand Prize Winner must show proper identification to claim the Grand Prize when they arrive.

d.   Grand Prize winner will be invited to be a call-in radio guest on the Glen Macnow and Ray Didinger Show, between 10:00am (ET) and 1:00pm (ET) on a TBD Saturday in January 2022.

Odds of Winning

16. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the relative professional football knowledge of all entrants.

Other Rule(s) Specific to this Contest

18. ENTRANTS UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, DUE TO COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS), GOVERNMENT REGULATION, DISASTERS, STRIKES, CIVIL UNREST OR DISORDER, OR OTHER CAUSES, THE 2021-2022 U.S. PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL SEASON MAY NOT BE CONDUCTED AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED. ACCORDINGLY, This Contest may be suspended or cancelled by the Station at any time if the 2021-2022 U.S. PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL SEASON is suspended, POSTPONED, or cancelled. If the professional football season and/or this Contest is suspended or cancelled, then the highest net score will be calcuated based only on the games from contest weeks that were completed prior to the suspension or cancellation of the professional football season and/or Contest, provided, however, that if fewer than five (5) contest weeks are or were completed prior to the suspension or cancellation of the professional football season and/or Contest, the station reserves the right to not award a prize in this contest.

19. In the event that during a Contest Week one or more games are cancelled, suspended, delayed or postponed for any reason, then such game(s) will be excluded from the Contest that week, and no points will be awarded for such game(s).

20. For entertainment purposes only, one or more Station employees may talk about their picks and/or how they are doing in this Contest. Such employees may appear on the stats pages as Entrants in this Contest and/or winners or leaders in this Contest. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event will any Station employee be an eligible participant in this Contest and shall not be entitled to win any prizes in this Contest. In the event that a Station employee is selected by the UPICKEM software as a winner, he/she shall be deemed ineligible and Station will manually award the Entrant with the highest score(s) (as set forth above) to be winners in this Contest.

21. Station is conducting this Contest using proprietary software owned by a third party known as Second Street Media Inc. (“UPickEm”). UPickEm is not a sponsor of this Contest but Entrants may be required, as part of the entry process, to agree and consent to UPickEm’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (both of which are available via a link during the Contest entry process) (collectively, the “UPickEm Policies”) and may be required to register with UPickEm. While agreement to the UPickEm Policies is required in order to enter this Contest, the UPickEm Policies are not a part of these Contest rules, but are a separate agreement between the Entrant and UPickEm. With respect to the conduct of this Contest by Station, in the event of any conflict between the UPickEm Policies and the Station Contest rules, the Station’s Contest rules govern.

22. Employees of UPickEm and its affiliates, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win in this Contest.

23. This Contest is in no way connected with, affiliated with, or endorsed by, Facebook, or the NFL, or any of its affiliated teams, players, or players union. All references to any football name or term is purely nominative and not intended to imply any connection, affiliation, or endorsement. This Contest is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL or any NFL team or Facebook.

24. This game may not be used in connection with any form of gambling. This game is strictly for entertainment purposes only and in connection with the Contest described above.

25. This Contest may be suspended or cancelled by the Station at any time if the professional football season is suspended or cancelled.
