I tried 'Deep Nostalgia' to bring my 18 old self to life and the results are both creepy and cool

What would your younger self look like alive and well in 2021?

There's a new app on the App Store that lets you upload an old photo and bing it to life. The app is called, My Heritage and the feature is Deep Nostalgia.

I tried the app out, it's very fun (and maybe a bit creepy too). It's also free-ish. The download won't cost you a dime, but you must sign up, give them all kinds of family tree info (I just put in gibberish) and then subscribe (they offer a free trial.)

Once I went through all those steps, I uploaded a photo from when I was 18 years old, colorized it and brought it to life. Very freaking cool.

Imagine what you could do with *really* old photos — like ones from family who have since passed on. Here's my grandfather, Harold Hamilton back when he was a lieutenant in the Air Force (he retired as a Colonel and flew KC-135's for 30 years).

After I got my fill of bringing old photos to life, I deleted all the images from the app and canceled the free trial (I'm not paying $199 per year to animate pictures). But definitely intriguing. Especially for someone working on a family tree project, oh the video you could make with family from yesteryear.
