Every year on St. Patrick's Day, my Greek MIL becomes 100 percent Irish

That's what happens when your actual birthday falls on the most Irish day of the year!

My wonderful in-laws are the stuff dreams are made of. They are kind and caring, loving and generous and they welcomed me into their amazing family 22 years ago when I married their son, George Mihalopoulos.

To say they are Greeky-Greek is an understatement. Their beautiful home has a Greek flag unfurled outside, Greek statues in the garden, Greek columns supporting glass top tables, Greek music playing, Greek coffee brewing in a briki (Greek coffee maker) and of course, yummy Greek food is always simmering on the stove.

But once a year, my mother-in-law goes full on Irish. That's because her birthday falls on the most Irish day of the year, Saint Patrick's Day.

Salt and I called my MIL to not only wish her a happy birthday, but a happy St. Patrick's Day too. But like all good stories, there’s a twist. Turns out her birthday isn’t the *real* reason she celebrates SPD. Listen below and find out!
