Norwalk, Conn./WTIC Radio - Norwalk police say three men are under arrest in connection with the assault on a city cab driver.
Investigators say they were dispatched to a gas station on Connecticut Avenue just before midnight on Thursday after a witness reported the three suspects assaulting the cabbie in the parking lot.
They say the three refused to pay their fare, struck the victim several times with a squeegee, and stole personal items.
The victim sustained facial lacerations from the attack.
Police arrested the suspects, Lance Harris, 21, Christopher Bunting, 23, and Cory Hampton, 19.
Officers say Harris began kicking the inside of a squad car following his arrest and broke a partition which he used to strike a window.
One officer sustained abrasions in the struggle and another was spat on.
The three are charged with various assault, breach of peace and other charges and are all being held on bond.
