Clapton to play Connecticut show

Uncasville, Conn./WTIC Radio - Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton will make a stop in Connecticut during his upcoming North American tour.

Clapton, who turns 80 this month, will play the Mohegan Sun Arena Saturday, September 20th.

The three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is touring in a limited run of shows in support of his latest studio album, "Meanwhile".

Clapton's career has spanned over 60 years with stints in bands including the Yardbirds, Cream and Blind Faith, as well as his solo career.

Opening for Clapton on the tour will be The Wallflowers, the band fronted by Bob Dylan's son Jakob Dylan.

Tickets go on sale Friday.
