Now the cleanup begins.

Parts of eastern Connecticut saw a foot or more of snow from the quick-moving storm that began before dawn and had pretty much tapered down by around 8:00 a.m.

Many cities and towns have parking bans that remain in effect as they'll use the balance of the day clearing roads and sidewalks.

State police did not report any serious crashes.

A jackknifed tractor trailer closed a portion of Interstate 95 early this morning in Norwalk between exits 16 and 17 northbound.

Sergeant Dawn Pagan says those on the roads need to give plow drivers extra space to operate.

She advises keeping speeds down as there still could be slick spots in the interstates.
